WCC

Disappointingly, WCC voted through the Long Term Plan Amendment that has reduced funding (again) and extended time frames for delivering the remainder of the network. On the positive side, efforts to abandon completing the network were defeated.

Workshop on central city routes

Earlier this month WCC officers gathered insights on how Cycle Wellington members currently get across town from the Wellington Railway station to Aro Valley and the base of Brooklyn Hill, and also around to Oriental Parade. Council have very limited funds to put to addressing these important connections, which are missing components from work that was happening under the Let’s Get Wellington Moving programme.

Concerningly. the workshop implied it is unlikely there would be a Quays Please approach taken for connecting around to Oriental Parade at this time.
