Liz Barnao
Wellington Bike Life is a series of profiles of people who ride bikes in Wellington. Today we meet public health researcher and mum, Liz Barnao.
Liz lives in Newlands and commutes into the city every day.
"My daughter goes to daycare in Kelburn which used to be a real struggle commuting by car, which is why I've converted to a bike."
"I love it - the freedom and mental clarity when I get home."
"Where I live I'm really fortunate to have a good cycleway into the city (Hutt Rd, Thorndon Quay clearway), but there are a lot of places that I can't go with my family because I don't feel safe. More cycleways please!"
